4. Discussion

From the data we collected, it was clearly found that the most acidic drink at 80'C is Coke with a reading of pH 1.80, the mixed contents of Ice Lemon Tea, Coke, Root Beer and Sprite at room temperature with a reading of pH 2.20, Coke at 5'C with a reading of pH 2.17

The drink that had the greatest difference from 80'C to room temperature is Ice Lemon Tea with a difference of pH ± 1.55, followed by Coke and Sprite with pH ± 1.25, Root Beer pH ± 1.00, Mix pH ± 0.45 and Water pH ± 0

The drink that had the greatest difference from room temperature to 5'C is Root Beer with a difference of pH ± 0.80, followed by Ice Lemon Tea with pH ± 0.60, water pH ± 0.50, Sprite pH ± 0.45, Coke pH ± 0.13 and lastly mix with a reading of pH ± 0.05

The similarity between all the reading is that they are not linear graphs but rather either Increase/Decrease from 80'C to room temperature and Increase/Decrease back again from room temperature to 5'C

We hope that these finding will use to educate people that drinking these soft drinks is bad for your health as the acid produced by the drinks will make your kidney overwork by removing wastes and excess water from your body at one go, thus increasing you chances to have stroke . Soft drinks have been linked to obesity, kidney damage, certain cancers and elevated blood pressure.
